Warm or cool?
Colour temperature describes the appearance of white light and is measured in kelvin (K). Lower values look warmer; higher values look cooler. Choose a setting that suits the scene and the other light sources around you.
Start with your scene
Look at the available light before setting up. Match your camera’s white balance and your light intentionally, then review the result on camera. Small adjustments can make a visible difference.
